In my opinion, no. You could buy it new for $60 at Samash, and even though I love AKG dynamics and use them a lot, that isn't a favorite. I use D690 and D770, and like them a lot. the 690 is a discontinued model, and last I knew, Guitarrgh Center was blowing them out. I bought my second one there for $36, and it is a very nice dynamic for vox and cabs. I haven't tried it on percussion, but that will start about April. The D750 is more or less of a budget vocal mic , and I think you could do better looking for used SM57's. You micht pay $5 more, but the mic will never go away.-Richie
