AKG C3000 mics and VS1680+drum mix

Someone help me please. Is a c3000 vocal mic OK for a decent home recording? Also if I have 3 open tracks for drums on my VS1680 to do drums. I'm using a Roland TD7 set.What would be the best mix for the 3 tracks? Bas+snare in 1,cymbals+ HH in 2, and toms in 3? or is there a more standard set up? Help please.

yea, if you ahve three tracks i would use stereo placing...unfortunately if you had 4 thre would be A LOT more flexibility. as in 1 snare, 2 kick, 3 left ovehead/left toms, 4 right overhead, right toms. but for you i guess do snare and kick down the center track 1. then 2 left ovehead/left toms, 3 right overhead, right toms.
