AKG C2000

Does anyone have an opinion on the quality of this mic? I'm looking to use it as a vocal mic (for studio use obviously).

I've read a few reviews of the C2000 *B* and it seems pretty good but I can't find any info on the plain old C2000. Doh!

Can anyone one recommend and alternative, moderately priced, condenser mic?

Hi, I've never heard about C2000 without the *B*. Are you referring to the C1000S, C3000/C3000B or am I totally mixed up?
I would recommend the Marshall MXL-V67 as a contender in this pricerange. I bought one this summer and have been really satisfied, I also have a C1000S and pair of Swedish Milab small-membrane condensers.
There are a lot of mics in this pricerange as you might have found out reading in the forum backlog, the V67 was just there when I was shopping and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm actually considering buying a second one, maybe someone has done some recording in stereo with this mic?
