I was just wondering what the differences were between the AKG 1000B, 2000B, and 3000B (besides the price). I've heard they are pretty good and needed a good microphone for studio vox and other rock band applications besides my sure SM 57s. I was wondering what people's opinions were on the different models.

OPINIONS:
1000 Very good for acoustic guitars, instruments. Very accurate.
2000 Haven't heard it, but specs look good.
C3000B: Good vocal mike, but that always depends on the voice. Not very natural sounding.
I own a pair of 1000s and a 3000. I've used the 1000s as drum over heads and acoustic guitar but now I prefer them on electric guitar cabs. They kind of bring the mid-range out. The 3000 has a hyped high end and sounds a little tizzy on vocals. The best use I've had out of it was on an acoustic stand up bass when I did a bluegrass band.
