Hello,

I've been reading a lot of the posts in these forums, and other forums, and talked to a few knowledgeable people I know. I was trying to decide on a mic. I've got it down to 2 I think I'd like. I'm looking at getting either an AKG 2000b or AT3035. I'm going to be using this for just recording myself doing hip-hop vocals. I have a sort of deep voice. A friend of mine told me the AT3035 would be better for picking up my lows due to it's SPL (?). I'm wondering which mic would work best for me. I'm going to run it through a Presonus TubePre and Delta 44. Suggestions?

If you'd like to get an idea of how I sound, here's a link to some tracks I did. The beats I found online, so I didn't mix those. I only mixed the vocals and as you can tell I'm not too skilled at it :D. For most of them I didn't spend too much time on either (1-2 hrs max) because they're just battle tracks for online tournaments. The track on the bottom is the 3rd track I ever mixed, and then each preceding track is the track I did after it. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/tensai2music.htm

The top 2 tracks were done on a Shure SM58 into a SB Live.

The next 4 tracks (Kaskade - Nojeel) were done on some $30 (or less) dynamic Sony mic into a SB Live.

Everything below that was done on.....a Nuemann U89 through a Joe Meek VC3Q, and into a SB Live.

sooo......Which mic?
