Probably a tall order but checking just in case someone here might be able to help me out with one, for this rather rare sleeper of a deck, for which I paid 10 bucks in a local thrift store.:D;)

Same deck here, with specs;):

Wow, cool find, Daniel.

I just think those glass heads are the cat's meow...Wish my Tascam decks had 'em. ;)

Nice looking deck  ten bucks Well spent :D
I kind of don't think you'd be able to find service manual for it, though...
Is it dead or alive? If it works, just do your own "service", make it shine and enjoy it for what it is :)

Yeah, that is one of the reasons why I picked it up. Those glass heads last a long time plus the playback, on a somewhat neglected machine, was pretty darn good. Now all I need to do is restore it, "A-la Cory".. well, maybe I won't go that far! :D;)

Mike, my friend, I knew I'd get your vote!:D

Yeah, free manual, probably not but I don't mind spending a bit for a nice copy, to do it "by the book". I'll do what I can without it and will def take your advice and refer to some of your cool pictorials of servicing you've done, for motivation purposes! :D;)

Thanks uzizit and I did find a couple of others but the one thing which bothers me is that I can't be sure of the sites' reliability and quality of their manuals. I'll email Akai. Maybe they have one.
