Hey folks,

Another noob`s coming :)

I have a cheap Behringer FCA202 Firewire sound which does its job fairly decently, but only in 32-bit systems. Recently I`ve upgraded my desktop and installed Windows 7, but FCA202 refused to work in this OS. It doesn`t work in 64-bit systems either, so I`m thinking about getting an upgrade.

It will be used for learning the basics of DAW stuff such as: a) VST instuments in FL/Reaper, and b) maybe some instrument recording (piano or guitar). So I need only 2x2 card, just like my FCA202, nothing more. I do have USB Midi, so MIDI in the card is not critical. It can be either USB or FireWire, and should not cost more than $100-$120.

I`ve been looking at E-mu 0202 but it does not work with Win 7 either (I tried). Here`s a list of audio interfaces and their compatibility with Vista/Win7 32/64 bit: http://www.rainrecording.com/windows-watch/

I`m thinking about Behringer UCA202/UCA222 which is just $30 and works everywhere. Are there any known pitfalls with this card?

Thanks for any input!
