advice which software to pick

Hi I'm new. I was wondering which software package I should go with?
I have a vista PC 64-bit 4gig ram intel(R) core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.40GHz 2.40GHz

I have been looking at sonar but wont run on 64-bit unless I get the 8.5 but they don't seem to sell that I also was looking at The PreSonus FireBox it seems to be the best for starting out. I also have looked at pro tools but again won't run on 64-bit.

Any advice for how to start oh ya I want to be able to record vocals and guitar. Thanks for any input.

Check out REAPER at reaper.fm. It is an awesome program that has power identical to pro tools. It is also free until you get guilty enough to pay the $50 one time fee.
