I am looking to buy some studio monitors, and I'm not sure where to begin. I need something that is extremely inexpensive, first of all. I'm going to be hooking my computer up to them and using them for everything, so they must be versatile (I don't know if there's a difference in useage or whatever). I was looking at some $150 M-Audio speakers. They looked pretty decent and in my price range. Does anyone have any tips?
In case it's not clear, this is what I'm looking for:
-compact size (able to fit on my desk)
-price range: up to $250 total
-versatile (able to use them for everything)
-good quality (good enough quality so that I won't need to upgrade for some time, but still under $250 bucks)
These are the ones I was looking at.
