Hi, so after reading a bit about home studio production on the forum and others as well, I decided to spend the weekend, finally getting my hands dirty for once (sorta from scratch).

Bought some recording gear last week (focusrite Scarlett 2i2) and this thursday, a Koch LB120, after realising, I didnt get the sound I wanted from the Amp sims.

I live in a small apartment, so micing up a big cabinet is a no-no however I try!

Friday evening and Saturday I used to get to know my TS808 and 6505+ 112 settings, Reaper and the different plugins (Parametric EQ2, Altiverb, Focusrite Compressor)
This Sunday I then tried to get everything to fit together and comparing my 6505+ 112 to my Guitar Rig Amp sim sound, using the same impulse response

What I need is just your honest to god advice on the sound. I'm going for a sorta metalcore-type of sound, but not too scooped
What I can do to improve it in anyway? - (I do know, that it's rather sloppy playing, but I'm not that good of guitarist), I was more thinking in terms of mixing and getting the instruments to fit correctly.

The chains are listed in the discription in Soundcloud

First Guitars is my 6505 amp, the second is the amp sim

oh and.. sorry for the odd EZ-drum pattern - I've never tried to create a drum beat before, and kinda just clicked away with the mouse in reaper until I got something I was not totally disappointed with..

Kind regards Christian
