Anyone know of some ways to improve the timeliness of playback on Adobe? Some sessions take 15-20 seconds to start.

More computer memory, perhaps? Quit playing games while recording? Tweak Windows for better performance? Run a few malware removers? Use a machine that never gets on the Internet? Upgrade to a faster machine?

The thing is, it seems it depends on the effects used. I can have a session with 12 tracks that runs smoothly, and one with 8 that runs slower. It's a real pain, especially since I have a music computer made for recording. There's plenty of memory and room.
