ADK vienna and hamburg

does anyone know anything about these mics.
"DOT" recomended them to me the other day, they seem quite interesting

I recommended the Hamburg & Vienna to you as well as the KSM44. I have a matched pair of Hamburg LE's and the Hamburg is a very smooth mic and does a very good job on vox but as always YMMV. Is it possible for you to try the mic out in a local outlet? If not then pick up a pre owned Hamburg or Vienna on ebay so if it doesn't work out for you it can easily be re sold on ebay for about what you paid for it. There is a link below for a Vienna. You can call the 800 number and get the mic over the phone for the starting bid of $235. Good luck.

Call them up and ask. I don't know if they will let you return it however in your original post you said the peak price limit was $500 so with the Vienna you will be less than half of that. Look for a used Vienna so if you don't like it you can sell it for what you paid for it.
