I just got a pair of ADK TL's. I havn't had much time to try them out yet.
I did a quick comparo on drum overhead with a single TL, a GT-44, B1, and C4.
All I can say for a fist impression is I love this mic.
While the GT-44 thru my Sebatron is the nuts for taming some rock bashing cymbals, I think the TL thru the Langevin DVC is beautiful, full, articulate and dimensional for a jazz kit sound, in cardioid or especially omni.
Both the GT-44 and TL are fuller and bigger sounding than either the B1 or the C4. This is not just apparent in the low end (kick & toms), but also in the high end. The cymbals just sound thicker, smoother and fuller thru the TL and GT-44. The Gt-44 softens transients a little, the TL is more transparent.
I can't wait to try the TL on acoustic guitar.
