Adding VSTi effect to channel causes Reaper to exit.

Now 169% diggier!
No error message, no nothing. The Nicfit nf_chords control panel appears for a second, then Reaper just poofs. This issue was posted on the Reaper support forums nearly four years ago but has apparently never been addressed.
 
What VSTi are you trying to load?

I've been using REAPER for two years and have never had a problem like that.

What VSTi are you loading? I haven't had problems with VSTi's...other than dreading the ReWire procedure for Reason.
 
Nicfit nf_chords

Apparently this happens with other Nicfit VSTis too, when their control panel is floated. But the panel automatically floats when I add it to the channel. Any way to prevent that?
 
Hmmm. Haven't seen that before. Not familiar with this VSTi, either.
Did you try posting this over on the Reaper Forum? Those guys can be extremely helpful.
 
It was posted there almost 4 years ago and no one has offered a solution.

I feel like I keep repeating myself in this thread, so never mind. :)
