Is the basic kit much different than EZdrummer? I am pretty happy with ezdrummer but I also have a need to obsessively buy more gear even when I don't really need it...

Haven't even used BFD ECO in a song yet...

You should totly buy all the add packs as well and gift them to me... :D

Then I'll think you're a topper bloke than I already do...:laughings:

.....sigh.....24 hours later.....

MUSICIANS FRIEND WHY U NO SEND MAH DOWNLOAD CODE YET?!?!?!?!?!?!

I had the same thing with XLN Audio. Though it was Christmas day. I didn't get the link until the next day.

I mean, I didn't order until like 8pm last night, but they had all day today. How long does it take to email a code? :p

Well, like I said, I still have no refund, or code from my accidental order since 12-25. Seems customer support is not an 'addicts' first priority. :p

Hmmmm...if they don't send it by the time I get out of class tomorrow, I shall call them.

And possibly demand a free pair of headphones too :D

LOL! Good luck man. :D

Whoopsie :p

Just checked the email and I got the code 20 mins ago! I think somehow the companies I buy from monitor my "why no send..." posts on HR! This is the second time an item has been sent within 30 minutes of me posting about it on here! :laughings:

LOL! Sometimes a bit of bitching can work. Unless it's a significant other....... :D

Enjoy!:RTFM::drunk:

Perhaps we need a "Fake Drums" forum so us non-drummers with the software equivalent can swap tips...

I imagine with that special offer on they're getting a lot of business, and so their email server hamster is a bit under the pump and not running hard, thus resulting in a backlog.

I got mine pretty much immediately - I put that down either to (a) a new hamster or one that had been fed recently (b) XLN's intrinsic understanding that, as an Australian, I was a good bloke and they should be nice to me. Can't figure out which....:D

It was probably a combo of both :D I've never met an Australian that I didn't like!

Hmmm downloading everything for the past hour....got that huge GIG for AD downloaded. The installation for that went smooth! Now I'm working on my two add-on packages! So stoked.

Well the standard pack seems to be the best all-around, but the Indie has some sick sounds as well! Also, the electronic (Reelz) kit is pretty awesome....nice to get that fat 808 sound :D

I've just had a look for the midi map on the XLN site and I can't see it anywhere... let me know if you can't find it and I'll stick it up somewhere you can download. You'll need it!

One question though! ^^^this thing you talked about...what is it? I've never used MIDI or drum programs like AD before in my life. I feel like such a newb

I haven't any idea where this 'Midi Map' is either. I do know that the drum maps are crazy f***** for AD in Cubase. Even different kits are setup all crazy and shizzle.

When you open up Addicitive via whatever DAW you're using, do you see the names of the drums (kick etc.) in the MIDI interface (not the Addictive Mixer thingy...), or just numbers? If you see names, then nothing to do.... if numbers, you need a text file telling your DAW what they're all called....

Perhaps it's no longer required, which would explain why I can't find it on their site... if you need it, holler and I'll stick it up online for you.

What DAW are you using?

CaptureMIDI.webp

That list of drum names on the left is what I'm talking about... it doesn't happen automatically...

Here - grab it anyway, it's just a .txt file, and put it in your REAPER install directory... if you need it, then you have it, if you don't, then no harm done.

Addictive MIDI map

Cheers

Hmmm can't seem to locate that MIDI page. I'm running Cubase 4LE btw! Jimmy do you know where it is?

You can make drum maps for Cubase. In the drum editor, click on 'Functions' (i think that is it) down towards the bottom left. There you can save or load drum maps. It isn't a text file tho. Pretty sure you will just need to create your own.
