adat or tacsam

I was woundering what i should make the center of my studio should i record to a adat or should i think about purchaseing one of those new tacsam. im reading in magazines that more home studio guys are going to the tacsam hard disk what do u guys think please give pros and cons

I'd go for the tascam 2424. It's taking over adats. There is alot more flexability with the tascam. Unless you plan on mixing somewhere else, the tascam will rock!

The TDIF interface has treated me WAY better than the ADAT interface, mostly due to the fact that it sends clock and bidirectional 8-track all on one line.... And Tascam has been rocking since Alesis was in Diapers... and isnt the 2424 a 24 trackker, anyway?!/1?1/!?
