Where do I get an adat lightpipe cable? is this a special cable with special connectors or is it just like any other fiber optic cable.

It's the same as any other TOSLINK-type, consumer-grade plastic fiber optic cable. No magic at all...

Like any other fiber optic cable? There are MANY different types of fiber optic cables and connector types. The one you're interested in is a TOSLINK type cable. You can get them at most any music store or stereo shop (Best Buy, etc).
