This is my first chance to track/mix anything that isn't based around mechanical drums and chugging. I mixed this on fried, 12 hour tracking day ears, but it's pretty good for starters. The guitars are being re-recorded, this was just scratch stuff to get an idea of what the guitarist wanted me to do. You'll hear the guitarist's watch hit the body of the guitar in places :)

Take My Heart

This was done with my new (but manufactured quite some time ago)ATM25 on an intact resonant headed kick drum(no hole), M177s for OH, 57 on you know what, I5s on toms(though the drummer didn't use them in this song)...I really need to get a better mic for larger toms. Any suggestions?

I would have moved the bass a little to the left. It's pretty empty over there. Maybe pan the acoustic both left and right with a bit of delay on one side. Sounds a happy ditty.

The acoustic is actually miced at two points and DI'd with each track EQ'd differently. The neck mic is panned hard left, the bride hard right and set out of phase, the DI in the middle quite low. There's a lead guitar in a lot of places so I left the, lol, the LEFT open a bit for it when it comes in. Thanks for listening.
