acoustic guitar - mxl 991 or 993?

i'm going to be purchasing one of the mxl mic packages just to have a decent/cheap vocal and acoustic guitar mic for a portable little recording rig i am putting together. they both come with a 990 whcih i will be using on vocals but one comes with a 991 and the other comes with a 993($99 and $150, respectively). i was just wondering if there was much difference in sound between these two. i know that the 993 has a pad and bass roll off, but my preamp has both of those as well. so its just coming down to how they sound. does anyone have experience with both of these and/or prefer one over the other? any opinions would be great. thanks, Jason

i own both, but i've only used the 993 for acoustic, never the 991. for the cost difference, i'd go that route.
