I was talking to a friend the other day and he mentioned that Acid 3.O is in the works. Anybody know of any release date as of yet???

Not exactly, but I think the website says the beta expires in late May... with Sound Forge 5.0 the time between the beta download and the release was pretty short, like four-six weeks, or so it seemed to me...

Got a copy of their advertising magazine today. The upgrade stuff was advertised in there $99 if you have Acid pro 2. Didn't mention a date. I contacted SF about something else yesterday and asked them as an aside when 3.0 was coming out. Got the answer that it would be on the web site as soon as available... so basically, no new info.

Be careful with the Beta!
I would becareful downloading the ACID Beta. I downloaded the SoundForge 5.0 beta and when it expired I lost all of my FX1 plug-ins in 4.5. Plus, a bunch of other bugs to get out.
