Acid-like alternative to Fruity Loops?

Im used to ACID 3.0 and love it. But now I want to do more electronic music so I've been trying Fruity Loops 3 but I dont like it all that much. Its just making something simple very complicated with all the different patterns and so on. Is there a program like acid with different channels and nothing more but where you can record midi with cool sounds (the good thing about fruity is that it has tons of built in sounds)?

Any suggestions?
 
Acid Pro 4.0 is what you want. It now has a MIDI sequencer and supports VST instruments (soft synths).:)

I agree with barefoot. Acid 4.0 would be your best bet. ;)
