Tight as a drum, as always!

Are you playing everything?

I could maybe do with a little bit more vocal, but I wouldn't say it's wrong as is.
It's probably just preference.

Thanks for posting.

Enjoyed this - sounds really good on my headphones. If there was ever a song to suit your vocal style!

I think I'd have liked it with a lead guitar playing the main riff over the rhythm guitars in the intro, but otherwise I can't fault it. Excellent quality recording and mix as usual.

Do you double track the vocals at all? Thought I heard a bit of it in the quiter section, but I guess I could've been hearing reverb or delay or something.

Hope you were singing into the microphone with pure Lenny style, looking and singing at the ceiling! :D

It's double tracked, right?
The only time you can tell for sure is 0:47, unless that's a bad edit or something.

BTW, that's meant to be a compliment rather than a criticism. :p

Thanks a lot fellas!

Thanks. Yeah I did everything - as always. I did go back and forth on the vocal level. I agree it's a little down in the mix, but I preferred it that way over having them out front more.

Thanks a lot. Yeah the vocals are double tracked.

Lol. That's how I always do it, seriously. It's just more comfortable to yell/sing with the mic higher than your mouth hole. :D

Thanks. Yeah that's a little spot of not-so-tight double-tracking. It's not an edit, just bad performance. I noticed it when I did it, but just left it because it's rock and roll. :D.

That's rock n roll dawg.

Fuck yeah. Like Lemmy always says "We are Motorhead, we play rock and roll". :thumbs up:

Thanks again dude. :)

I notice the Soundcloud player kind of butchers the drum overheads, so here's a 320 kbps MP3 version if anyone's interested.
Ace of Spades

It transcodes to 128Kbps, so it can really damage the sound. If you upload a wav, I would think that might mitigate some of the damage you'd get from it converting between lossy formats. You can allow downloads at the original quality (although that would be a big download for a wav!).

Nah, I aint messing with the wav. If someone wants it, I'll give it to them. The 320 kbps MP3 version sounds good enough. :D

The 320 version is way better, to me anyway, than the soundcloud link. The whole thing sounds better.
yeah ...... 320 is WAY better than 128 no matter where you convert it.

Sounds great as always greg ....... pretty impressive double-tracking voices so well when the part is so busy with inflections and such ..... that's damned tight.
Guitars sound great ...... no telling what you're using since you now have an armada of amps and speakers but whatever it is, it sounds right.

Great energy. Excellent playing. Liked the tone on everything.

The only thing I might listen back for would be the vocal level. To me it's a little low. But that's about it. OK - ditto on the lead guitar level. It could come up a bit.

Nice sounding.

Lol. Thanks boob. I'm still using the same guitar and rig I was using before (Les Paul - Marshall head and cab). I think I'm getting better with it though. The rhythm guitars are the LP through the JCM 900 cranked pretty loud into the 4x12 mic'd with a 57. The leads are the same setup, but through the Vintage 30 cab. I tried to dial in a more raw kind of tone. Not too much gain, no effects or pedals or nothing. Just pure guitar and amp.

Thanks dude. I agree the lead can come up a little.

No qualms. Sounds great!
Thanks dude. :)

Thanks queepy!

This started out like the original mix - one guitar and bass right down the center. I have OCD for symmetry though and couldn't help myself when tracking another rhythm guitar and spreading them wide.
