Hi all -
Looking to get some feedback.. I am a noob at this whole recording deal so any help is appreciated!
I'm using the M-Audio Fast Track USB as an interface with an MXL R144 Ribbon Mic and recording this into Abelton Live: Please see how the mic is currently positioned below:

I have the Mic gain turned all the way up and I'm still getting fairly low output from Abelton.
Why is it really quite and is there something in Abelton I can use to amplify this without corrupting the signal? I'm having to blast my Mac speakers to full to hear everything.. which seems unecessary. I can't post an audio clip of the actual output yet (10 posts... getting there) but any help in the meantime would be great!
