we don't need rest!!
Personally, I like Erlands stuff the best, as far as having "hit" potential, and potential commercial success, and just general, "this guy is good" kinda feeling. His mixes have definate room for improvement, and some production would put some of his stuff over the top, but the raw core is so evident with this guy, you'd have to live under a rock to not see it. No...his chops aren't the best either, nor necessarily his song structure either...but somethings happening across the pond...that's for sure. I need to comment more on his stuff, but have just generally been kinda speachless with his posts...
Samicide runs a 2nd for me. A solid style coming from this wanker, that you can smell a mile away. To me, his drop tuned ambushes sound better than anything on the radio that might be close to his genre. I can even live with his "wandering" song writing and song structure. Hey, a song can be a ABCD form song, right?? sure it can..
funny thing too... I get a strong feeling that both these guys have the minimum equipment (Erland, I know for sure from his posts and microphone lusting), and this just makes this all the richer. Sammy and his ebow and his portastudio...my goodness. You should be the poster child for Tascam.
