hello
I posted this before but the link was broken. Finally got everything straightened out with nowhereradio.

This is a live recording. I used a $20 best buy mic from about 25 feet away from the outdoor stage and a minidisc recorder. All the equipment was borrowed - and it all sucks. But I thought it turned out okay, considering.

I'm playing the drums (and I don't claim to be a drummer).

It made me feel like I was right there, in line for the keg watching the party go on.

Not bad for how you described recording. The vocal sound is the weak point, great singing though.

Cool song.

Wow one single tom was realy loud.

Wow......this brings back good memories of playing outdoor parties when I was a teenager.I use to have tons of casette tapes filled with hours of this type of stuff.Boombox recordings, one mic recordings.LOL....the singing is great.

nice....ditto what the others said about memories...very cool..

IM AMAZED at how good the recording is with what you listed ..its really damn near better than shit i spend hours on.....and yeah THAT HIGH tom must be about 12 feet closer to the mic than the rest??....lol.....THERES the sound of live hihats we all know and love!!>.....

yeah the kid is an incredible vocalist. I would love to get together and work with him more but he doesn't have much confidence in his voice (and he's kinda flakey). too bad.

Yeah, I don't know whats up with that tom - it must have been pointing right at the mic or something.

So is there anything I could do to the mix NOW to make it sound a little better? Add overall reverb or compression or something?
