A Song About My Hometown

Hey man just a quick suggestion. I haven't heard the song because I have to download it, and I'm not down with that. Maybe post it on soundcloud or something that we can stream? I'm not trying to sound bossy, just thought it'd be nice.

I would but I don't want people to find my unreleased songs as this is part of my bands album. You can also choose to open but not save them if you are on a PC, I havn't figured out how to do that on macs even though I'm mainly a mac user.

Yes, I had the option to open or save. I picked open and it pops up in WMP.

I like the tune. Tons of cool changes and some good performances throughout. Would be at home on that sirius indie station I've been listening to a lot lately...

The recording comes across as pretty lo fo to me. Maybe just what you're going for as the sound more or less reflects the attitude presented by the song itself. The highs are rolled off and kind of pastey sounding if that makes any sense. But, I like the recording nonethless. It has a nice live feel to it in some ways. This was a pleasant surprise for me. Thanks.

Thank you! We are trying to keep it fairly raw and the performance was the 1st priority. We recorded all the instrumentals at once, acoustic guitar, the solo and vox were aded later. I rolled of a lot of treble on the rhythm guitar but i might try and add a bit back.

You definitely need to give another format. It is taking forever to upload.

Cool tune. Very Beatlish at times. Everything sounds pretty good.

The only negative thing I can say (and it's more about personal taste than how "good" anything sounds) is that the "stereo" vocal treatment made it hard to listen to the whole tune, it started getting to me pretty quick. Is that a copy-paste-nudge? It doesn't sound natural. I would get rid of the duplicate track and put the vocals right up the middle....or sing it twice, but I've never heard copy/paste/nudge sound good.

Again, just personal taste. Everything else sounds cool.

RAMI- It is interesting what you say about the vocals, they actually were sung twice but the part where the melody is being sung with no words sounded sloppy so I used vocalign. I should probably only do that to that section of the song though. If I restored the vocals to their natural state how would you suggest I balance them?
