a SM7 a cheap interface preamp and a $500 preamp

I had a UX2, maybe the cheapest interface available...used it was $40...ISA One was $280 back then, now its $499...almost $500 new

Lets say I want to bypass the MIC/line inputs on my tape deck and get +8- +12 kick drum on the meters with one of these preamps with a large capsule dynamic MIC. Which would do better ?
