Very solid. I didn't hear the previous version so, I would guess you're looking for comments on improvment. On this virgin listen I thought it was balanced and concise in the mix. The song itself has a stealthy blend of techno and rock. I can easily hear this one pounding out at a club as the neon tube tops bounce and black vests mesh with black doc martins.
I really dug the tune and your work at getting it recorded.

Good stuff.

Theron.

I listened and was impressed. The mix is several cuts above what you typically hear on MP3.com.

The voice sits well in the mix and there seems to be good balance in the instrumentation.

Keep up the good work.

Good club music..........
I am no expert but, I was diggin the tune.
Good guitar and synth playing......
Good luck with it

It's much better than the old version. I can finally toss my old copy. The mix sounds brighter and more balanced, and the vocals sound a lot better. I think it's a keeper!

Thanks for listening all, cant tell you enough how much it is appreciated. I bite my nails each time i submit a song to be reviewed.

Does any think I could make it in the music biz or no. Honest answers, but please be gentle.

thanks
John

John,

Making it in the music business. That is an interesting question. I think that all of us on the BBS would like to know the answer to that. But the big question is "How do you want to make it?"

Would you like to be a performer, songwriter, producer, engineer, etc. You need to choose one area and focus. (It is fun to do it all, but you still need the bread and butter area otherwise you become a jack of all trades and master of none.)

Also, what criteria have you set for yourself to be able to say that you have "made it?" I have a friend who has a couple gold records and toured widely, yet he does not feel that he has "made it" in the music business because he has not had the financial sucess that he desires.

I know a lot of people who make a decent living in the music business without being superstars. Each one has found their niche. They range from live sound engineers, guitar techs, studio musicians, songwriters, ad nauseum...

I guess what I am trying to say is that the only way to find out is to GO FOR IT! But do it with your eyes open and always seek to understand your options. The music business is just like any other business. If you have the right skill set, the right focus, and the right attitude, then you are on the right track.

Good luck.

I guess if i could pay the bills with the money i made by doing music, that to me is making it. I would really like performing, but the MAJOR problem is getting a band together. I dont understand how solo artist do it, like Moby and such.

But Im trying to be patient and keep on finding people that fit my goals but its really hard.

...anyone from Michigan?.......

That was really cool!I like the marriage of dancable groove,w/synth,and metal like riffs!Very well done and natural sounding.I woulda sung it more agressively, but thats just my lack of restraint,I suppose.I'm gonna check out some more of your tunes.Cool stuff!
p.s.The sound quality seems pretty high to my ears.Kudos!

Thanks for listening Beezel. Glad you dug it. I wish i could be more aggressive.......stupid apartment.....dumb neighbors......

later
