A question for EMU 1616(m) owners

I have a question - I'm most probably buying the 1616 and a laptop PC, and the one I've been considering features a TI (Texas Instruments) PCI 7411 carbbus controller. Should the 1616 work with this (given that they got good results with other TI cardbus controllers). Anyone have that same model in their PC?

And another thing - could I get a link to a forum dedicated to EMU products (not to burden everyone here with my newbie questions)? . Thanx for the reply and stay kool!

They have many topics on the 1616 and compatibility. I would suggest reading the threads thoroughly before making the final decision on whether or not to go with the 1616. It sounds though that if it does work well, then it is quite a nice piece, especially for the price.

I’m an 1820m owner and it is a nice card. though many don’t like tha patchmix but I think its a great tool once you know how to use it. It's basically what it says it is . a virtual mixer with routing and everything. Now what would really be cool is a hardware that can actually control it externally.
