Look at hopeyouchoke, I know it has some problems so any "constructive" critisism would be greatly appreciated. I've never attempted to record this many intruments before. Ignore the distorted guitar 3/4 of the way through, I'm not sure what I'm doing with that yet, Suggestions. Also, the trumpet is being redone so no comments on the playing is needed :)

I'll give you my 2 cents worth. Very ambitous effort. I hear lots of things going on here, but the drums are so loud can't really hear the piano and stuff. Everything gets lost under the drums. I think you could remix this, bring out the piano, vocals and horns better.

I can hear the drums kind of surge, like they speed up and then slow down. Also the snare needs more edge to it. The drums do dominate the mix and I generally like the drums to be high in the mix. The piano and rhythm guitar gets lost as does the vocal. My humble opinion? Wake up the snare and a remix.

Thanks guys, I'm allways paranoid about the drums. I tend to mix them too quiet, I guess I kind of overcompensated. I'm going for more of a new school punk rock sound ala Fat Wreck Chords (I know not a chance in hell, but that's what I'm going for, Ryan Greene is a hero of mine).

So boost up he snare a little? It's pretty much flat right now soo I could afford to eq a little. Any sudggestions on this? The problem was when I miced it, I miced it wayyyy oo close and allwmost perpendicular to the skin on the outside rim. Plus I noticed that our drmmer isn't very cosistant on his kit.

As for tempo, we played without a metronome, hence the sticks at he beginning. i'm too close to this song to notice huge tempo problems.

Any more comments?

I have 5 more songs to do same style so any feedback will be appreciated.

I'm definitly remixing, off coourse.

You think the vocals are too low huh? I'm worried about bringing tthem up too much because the performance isn't great. I think if I bring the drums down and give myelf some more headroom that would probably help?
