A Little Advice On This MPD Purchase Please

would an Akai MPD-16 work with my soundblaster live soundcard, and would i need anything other than native instruement's battery program and cool edit pro to record my own drum patterns?

It uses both USB connect and or midi.
I dont see where there would be a problem using your soundblaster as the midi interface.

yeah,thanks man i was just confused with the joystick input, im gonna pick a joystick to midi cable up cause the mpds in the mail now.
