Well here goes.I've beenplaying guitar for about 5 years and would like to do some recording, nothing serious, just to capture what I sound like on a good day{few and far between though they are}.I've gone ahead as usual and jumped half as*ed into the process.I bought a Tascam Porta02mkII 4 track recorder. After reading the manual there are a few questions I hope someone can help me out with.First,I have a Peavey Classic 30 amp and according to the Tascam manual to record directly from the amp to the Tascam to use"line out,pre out or direct out".As far as I can see the amp has none of these outputs. It does have "EFX out",would this work? Can I record directly from the guitar to the Tascam bypassing the amp?Or should I just "mic" the amp?Secondly, also according to the Tascam manual I need a "stereo master recorder"{to produce the stereo recording},an amplifier and speakers for monitoring.Do I need this,or can I get buy with my mini shelf stereo system to make the master? As you can tell I AM a newbie at this recording stuff so please for give the dimwitted questions.Hope someone can help me out.
Thanks and take care
