i do love smilies...
about the CME UF5. i got mine today, and i think it's ace, so far :)

but i was wondering, is there any way of changing the setup so that the faders do not automatically change the volume of that midi channel? i know you can change the "fader function" 3 times, so you effectively have 24 faders rather than 8, but i would rather use all 24 for control of effects/synths, rather than volume, which i can set manually and leave (unless i want to specifically set it up otherwise.) i'm using Reason, if that helps? though i think its more likely to have something to do with the keyboard itself, because it mentions this in the manual (just not how to override it...)

i was also wondering if there's a way to change the setup so that, in Reason, i can switch to different instruments via the program knob, and not have to switch to the channel select button, which automatically jumps back to the program select function after 3 seconds or something... i hope that makes sense!

thanks for any help,

Andy :)

probably of little help but anyway... the whole deal with those things is the ability to customize it to your needs.... the obvious problem is they dont know your needs and therefore cant really provide you with an exact template... so you'll have to anaylize your needs and RTFM...

so you're saying it should be possible to do what i'm asking for help with? because that's a big help if you're saying it is/isn't :)

what d'you mean by "template", and how would i go about changing it?

thanks!

Andy.

The Propellerheads call what you're asking for 'ReMote' control.

They have a ReMote setup made for the CME UF5, and you can find it here. Once you've logged in go to the 'Downloads' page, then to 'ReMote'.
