Hey guys,

I didnt know all the great functions of insterts on most mixing consols. Ive recently been enlightned by great people here on the board. Anyway I have one more question.

When useing an insert as an out (on click in)

I would like to use a mixer for my submix, but I want to use the preamps on my interface and not double up on them especially through a crappy boad.

I think its reasonable to assume that inserts will be PRE-FADER and PRE-EQ, but I'm not sure its reasonable to assume that inserts are PRE-PREAMP.

Let me know your thoughts!

Thank you!
Josh

Sorry. The Insert is configured Post preamp.

creamyapples-

Why spend $10 apiece on a bunch of special adapters you can't use for anything else when you can use cables you already have, or that will be useful for other things if you buy them?

Worse- Not only do you buy a bunch of $10 adaptors, but you put a bunch of Hosa cables and connectors into your signal chain! Ewww-Richie
