Ten Billion Records later they said "OK maybe it does"

I see where your coming from, but I said "ACCEPTABLE audio quality taking steps backwards", but you probably said it better:

The Average Joe Blow now prefers convenience over anything else, so file-sharing and other methods of information sharing (that have bandwidth constraints) play an important role in what people like and are willing to live with.

The fact that DVD/SACD not catching on is *not* a matter of public acceptance, it is a matter of politics and economics and price, nothing more.
I'll agree with you here, but wouldn't be so bold as to say "nothing more"

This must be somebody else's post your talking about???

to deny the leaps and bounds made in audio technology would be to deny the very essence of why we can do what we do in our homes. You think that today's master mastering and mixing engineers are all wrong in their methodology?
hope your not putting word in my mouth.

I wouldn't know a thing about jazz, blues, polka or anything but I do understand rock. And I do understand this generation.

1. My vocals are punchy, clear, cut through... the right effects are applied at the right time.

Dude, Lifehouse just called. They want their chorus / flanger pedal back. :D

"...now that's funny right there... I don't care who ya are."

I though this was a pretty cool song. Here's a quick mix I did last night. I wouldn't consider it finished, but this is what I have so far. Might be able to finish'er up this weekend.

Cool work guys. Is there a spam thread I can use somewhere to get my 250 posts or should I use this one? :)

Here's what I just finished up. Any comments? Don't make too much fun of my "solos".

I thought your 'solos' were a little more tasteful than the ones that we have.
Good stuff, geet.
Did you compress the acoustics at the beginning to death for an effect? Just wondering b/c it is a little distracting.
I also thought the kick was maybe just a little bit abrasive in the mix.
Otherwise, the mix is done pretty well!
Keep up the good stuff.

Hey Bruce
How's my mix sound on the ADAM's ?

C
Sorry - had sessions most of the day! I'll try and have a listen to it later on...

(But are you sure you wouldn't rather have Strave listen to it? His listening environment is apparently MUCH more revealing than mine!!! :p)

Your inability to act like a professional and let things go is quite astounding.
