I used Rokket's new bass line... Definitely better than the first, but I had to use N-Tracks pitch adjustement to get it to sit better with Ruth's guitar... I tinkered a bit with a Proteus Hammond B3 from my midi keyboard and had to adjust the tuning on it as well... Is there a Capo in use on the guitar?

Anyway... Here's my humble entry unless I find more tinker time...

Honestly, and I don't want to hurt someone's feelings, but I think the guitar tracks need to be redone. The guitar isn't in tune with the capo on. I played your chords into my MR-8 and then played my bass along with it, and I don't have the tuning problems. I added my guitar tracks to yours, and it's all out of whack...
 
You won't hurt my feelings, you can just say "Ruth, I think your guitar is out of tune".

I won't have time to retrack before my vacation. I think it sounds close enough to me. I know I'm not the expert but it already sounds better than I could have ever hoped for thanks to everyone here.

Yeah, it was more for those who keep telling me I'm out of tune. If Bruce can make it work, I'm not going to worry about it. If you want to retrack it, and I'm still around, I will help you again.
 
I can only imagine your frustration. There have been how many bass retakes? A lot! You have been the picture of dedication and I am extremly greatfull.

No problem, it's fun to work on someone else's stuff... It's not as frustrating for me as it would have been for some. I just don't take things that serious anymore since I got a dose of Jake at his best awhile back....

Hey Ruth - I wanna take a shot at putting Rokket's new bass line in place - but finding time is the trouble! I have a free spot this aft, I may be able to work in a quick remix..... otherwise, my previous mix can be considered my submission to this contest!
 
I can wait if you want more time and if any one else wants to join in too. I don't have to end the contest. I can wait until I come back.
 
It's your call! I'm just looking at the new bass line now... so I'll likely have a remix up later this evening!
 
Well... if you end it before Bruce can submit... the rest of us stand a better chance...
