A/D converters of Joemeek twinQ vs Lucid, RME, Apogee...

I've been looking at the Joemeek twinQ with great interest. It seems to offer very much for the money, almost terrifyingly much, but some reviews and user comments I've read tells me that it's pres, compressors and EQ's are indeed very good. But how about the A/D converters?

I'm using a Roland VS-1680 and I definitely want to upgrade my system so that I can bypass the onboard pres and converters (which are 20 bit). Do you think that the twinQ will give me significant improvement for conversion? Or would it be better to stretch the budget a bit and get something like Lucid AD9624 or RME Adi-2 with RNP or maybe Tfpro P4?
Or maybe Apogee Mini-ME?
What would you suggest?

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that model Roland can record/i.e. save 24bit audio. Otherwise upgrading to a 24bit A/D doesn't make much sense.

Thanks for your concern PhilandDon:) Yes, I'm sure. This roland model has 20bit A/D converters but it's internal processing is 24bit. It's very common to use an external 24bit converter with these Rolands, especially this older model.

Hi, imo the converters in the twinQ are pretty poor... i have a 002r and its converters are much better, and im still considering upgrading to a mini me myself. As a channel strip i love it though. Great pres, eq and coloured compression... just not so good AD. Hope this helps.
