Updated this:
Rerecorded bass line. It was too cluttered and deep. Changed from the Jazz to the Pbass, cut the bass signal at the tracking. Added some fluff and puffery. Boosted and cleared the vocals. Remixed the 'guitars'. At same link as above.

Im on my phones so not to much to say on the mix..really enjoyed it..loved the double vocals and the whole idea of the song..the feel was funky groovy...seemed a little muddy at times and lost a bit of timing at one point (my phones dont help)..but who cares...this grooved along, I never knew you recorded I thought you just made giant basses look tiny!

great stuff mate :)

I used to record more before my interface died; now I back to using the Digitech RPx400... a bit of a pain. But I want to use this song with the band and wanted to see if it would even work. Thanks for checking it out.

Cool and creative song structure, really like it. This tune sounds unique and new to me and that's a good thing. Love the use of the phone ringing and the sirens, not over done and well placed.

Cool song man, thx for sharing!

Thanks! I just was trying to get a Johnny 'Guitar' Watson kind of feel without directly copying him.

Totally cool!
Love the slap-bass and the vocals. Is that a flanger on the heavy guitar in the end? Sounds good. Very groovy stuff.

Joey :):):):)

Cool song.

Everything was remarkably clear and unmuddy for how low the instrumentation is.

The panning guitar solo at 2:00 is very strange, but that's not neccesarily a bad thing.

That's effect I whipped up on the Digitech RPx400 . It's a flanger>slight ping-pong delay>arena reverb>a Rectifier Head model with no cabinet. Then I compress the #$%t out of it. Its the way I fake a guitar lead since I sold my Squier Strat. I used the Conklin causes it give me more neck to play with.

Yes, strangeness does seem to come disturbingly easy for me.

agreed with steve...didnt seem any mud in it...must have been my phones..I hate commenting on stuff when using them but its the only choice in here some nights

There is one massive flub, that kinda muddies the mix. I was trying some of the bass EQing ideas mentioned in the G&B Forum... the one that got so interesting.:)

Cool...highly entertaining. Love that bass sound...has a bit of that seinfeld theme song effect to it, but fatter.

There is a lot going on, but the clarity is not lacking. The guitar bit just after the 2:00 mark is pretty instense.

Sounds a bit like funkadelic with the pitch slowed down a few notches. Good deal. :)
