hello all once again...
happy holidays!!!!!:) :) :)

ive been busy recording a band called "Big Baby Satan" and have already recorded a few other bands. i was wondering what your thoughts are on the song "lead us" that i recorded for them. please follow the link to my site:
http://www.headphoneproductions.com/
and click on "my files" to get to the tune.
thanks!
oh yeah.... by the way, everything was recorded direct, because thats what the band wanted and the drums are also electronic drums. so that, obviously, means they were also recorded direct.

I know it sounds petty

Really, I hate to say this, but literally the ONLY reason I'm not listening is b/c of that damned "Soundclick" site. It makes me register everytime I go there, and I'm just not doing it anymore. You've posted some very cool stuff in the past, and so this is my loss more than yours, and I probably could have "registered" for the tenth time in less time than it took to type this, but I'm just not doing it. I already get too much spam.

Sorry,
-nobody

not that you need to bother, but if you put the tune up on www.nowhereradio.com for FREE, I'd love to hear it.

i dont know man, i only registered the one time and that was it. but i hear ya about the "spam"... have you tried this http://www.mailwasher.net/ to prevent your spam? or maybe your web browser settings need to be set a certain way.
sorry, but i really dont want to pay to post songs on the internet. thanks for the listen attempt anyhow...
but you should check out mailwasher anyhow. its a pretty cool program.

so?????
i thought this was supposed to be a helpful forum...
lots of views, but no thoughts???? come on:( :( :( :(
somebody has to have a thought on the mixes i created...

Yeah...thus the "FREE" comment in my first post. The reason Soundclick and MP3.com and a bunch of other sites make me register everytime I go there is b/c I don't let my computer store "cookies" (basically, I'm paranoid).

Again, you can get 15MB worth of FREE storage on nowhereradio (about 3 tunes) and keep all your other tunes where they are on soundclick. Just think of it as a forum specific kind of request. Again, I'd love to listen...I'm just getting stubborn in my old age. :D

Good luck with others here,
Chris

jamal, thanks for the review... i was hoping for thoughts on "lead us", but, oh well....

now as for nowhereradio.....
if i can figure out how to post on it, ill post the link here.
ill be back......

hehehehehe...sorry for absolutely BEATING you into doing that. :D

Hopefully, more will listen now. Okay, mixwise...I'm a novice, and this is not exactly my genre, so with the disclaimer out of the way, I'll say that it sounds a little woofy in the low end...like from maybe 100Hz to 300Hz?? I'm not really hearing mud...I'm just kinda losing definition in the guits. The very low lows (below 60Hz) that you can't hear may be a problem too. When I hit the "loudness" button, it sounds like the low end in general is getting a bit out of control.

Otherwise, pretty decent mix. I won't comment on the monatony of the drums (oops), b/c that's really more of a performance thing.

Good luck,
-The Novice

Guitars sound like they came off Smashing Pumpkins' "Machina" CD... song - "Heavy Metal Machine". Kind of a Marlyn Manson feel, too. The sound is kind of guitar-sludge-mush... but this sound HAS worked in commercial CDs (like the aforementioned). What made it work? The contrast between the sludge, and some very crisp drums.

On this toon - everything seems well performed; would like more complex drums. Vox O.K.

The thing that bugs? Ride cymbals... way too... "noisy". They don't have that crispness you generally wish for in a cymbal sound... crashes sound O.K. in comparison.

Real drums, with some "attack", would really help... they would drive the tune better.

Decent music.
