Hey folks,

How do I save a recorded audio track (in Acid) as an MP3 on it's own. In other words, I recorded a song onto Acid on it's own strip (strip?), and now I'd like to save it as an MP3.

Thanks a bunch for your help, I'm sure it must be an easy one...

I do not use Acid but Sound Forge came with a seperate plugin that enables you to encode mp3s which had to be registered as well. I seem to remember the mp3 option was there in the save dialog box before registration but you were limited to the amount of encodes. (20?) In sound Forge you would click "Save as" and then the down arrow next to "Save as type" to give you a drop down list where you would find mp3. Should be similar in Acid.

Acid will let you "Render as" to a number of formats. Dunno if mp3 is one. If not, you can render to wav and use a freeware encoder to make it an mp3 - I like CDEx. You can get it from ZDNet...

SOLO the track/s>[TOOLS>RENDER TO NEW TRACK] (or CTRL-M)>SAVE AS TYPE>MP3
