That's a fairly safe bet!

Well Leeds has changed a lot - tonnes of regeneration and one of the 'coolest' shopping areas in the UK. Hard to know which pubs were around in the 70s, my mum came to uni here around then and reckons the Eldon, the Faversham and the Fenton were all around then. And the Oak and Skyrack in Headingley, of course.:)

Over the summer i'm going to build myself a super computer solely for recording; 1-2 gigs of ram, 3+ ghz, massive hard drive, etc.

Don't put too much into your computer. 90% of bleeding edge power only costs 50% of bleeding edge and will have plenty of poop for recording. The money you save can be used for things that will last like mics.

1 gig of ram, i would recommend. xp likes ram.
been fixing too many daw's recently for friends with only 256 ram.
i dont recommend huge amts of ram because of pace of change in tech.
you should find win xp boots faster with 8 mb cache hd's.

noisedude...
it was an amazing evening. the who were on top form.
one of the best live rock shows ive ever been to.
people went wild when they did my generation.

very very tight. forgotten which pubs. i think faversham rings a bell for some reason. all so long ago.nearly settled in leeds.
but then london computer industry called with the old money dangle.
fun times i had. happy memories. lovely giving people in your area.
previous generations of my family were up north near you.
they were the type of people if they only had a few pounds saved and they saw somebody needed help/destitute they would lend a hand.
very nice people in your area i found.
my mother is now very old, and very chuffed. The beeb have been recording
her and other seniors for some sort of ww2 archive ?
I dont know much about it as i live in Canada with my wife.
but its given her a nice something to do.
and perked her up since losing my father.

might be the pub ndude. but sooo long ago.
i know it was an old pub.
all the women wore mini skirts.
ah the memories.......
i really miss england.

Hahaha, well welcome back anyway ... and if you dredge up any more memories I'll be happy to go and take pictures of the places for you!

i will be over in uk later part of this year visiting my poor mother.

saturday night in the early 70's we used to go down to chelsea to get away from comp engineering and go have fun. london was crazy in those years.
lots of great vintage guitar shops/gear places in london. crazy prices.
will be checking out if there are any 150k jobs.
i hear englands getting short of computer engrs/teachers/nurses etc.
none wants to live in london. too pricey. peace.
ps....just been checking uk salaries on the net for IT this morning.
