i've been using my 880ex for about a year now.{love it}just recently got my 1st pc and would like to know how to go into my pc for data storage and editing.cheapest, easiest way possible.also would like to know how to turn audio{cd,s}into mp3s so i can get my music onto the net for feedback..thanks..

You connect a MIDI cable from you PC into VS and with software like "LOGIC VS" you can import the wave view from your recordings on VS and edit it from there.
I think it is a bit poor sofware but that´s all we have for now when it comes to Wave view editings.
Remaind you,at this stage you are not editing within your PC but on VS recordings themselves.

I´m working with VS880EX too,so if you get the MIDI cables working fine,(I now how to make it work with a Sounblaster Live!1024),and that program,(it is almost free,or they´re giving it for free when you buy a VS:::) I may help you some more, just tell me what you have and what you want to do...
xxeerrrs...

I would think about getting a spdif capable card.
CDR drive to backup or 4gig maximum scsi drive.
Cakewalk pro audio 9 if for no other reasons than to collaborate
or mix down or record more tracks.
As far as Mp3s go you must convert a wave file into Mp3.
Download Musicmatch to do this. Its free.

You can import tracks into cool edit, sound forge,Ntrack et. using
spdif or audio in on your soundcard (if its decent) It doesnt have to
be the latest version of software. I can pickup soundforge 4 for
$25 and Cakewalk pro audio 9 for about the same. I myself dont
use demos.
