Does anyone know if you can save the 788 tracks to cd in wave form [ with the 788CDRW] and then import them to a large studio
computer using Pro Tools. I would like to cut some tracks on my
788 then transfer them to a larger system to finish the recording
and master. I know the manual says you can do this, I just want to be sure that Pro Tools will read the import and that the individual tracks will show up with no loss of quality.

I save .wav files to the CDR-788 all the time. Then I load them into n-Track with no loss in quality at all. The only thing you won't get from your .wav files are any panning or mixing alterations that you may have made after the initial recording. I record dry and add effects later.

The 788 is a fine way to get music into ProTools.
