We just bought a 788 portastudio and are having trouble finding a SCSI-2 cable can anyone help. We are new to the game and need help. The manual tells me it is a SCSI-2 (50pin) to Centronics (50pin) but is this what we need to connect to a Compaq Presrio 5423. We could use some advice for newbies or a point in the right direction to help get us started. The 788 sounds great and we are able to record and playback and add effects but want to be able to download to a CD. Thanks

Don't know if you're still here but...

The SCSI port on the back on the 788 is for connecting the CDRW788 cd burner or external hard drives. It's NOT for connecting to a PC. I repeat it's NOT for connecting to a PC.

You can connect the cdrw788 to the 788 and export individual .wav files for import into your computer. (if you have 2.0 of the 788 operating system)

See Ya
Dennis
