Hi there, I am trying to post more songs for my summer challenge but have run out of space on NWR and cant get more just yet. I ripped everything down becasue I have a couple to post up.

If you have time could you give this a wee tickle?

Nice as usual.... This one has a little more hiss in it than others youve posted. ...I know, meaningless nit..... ....but your stuff is tough to critique because the talent quotient is so high. It kinda renders the recording secondary. Very nice bro:)

just your usual brilliant songwriting and performance. nothing new to comment on i don't think.

when you reach your goal, i'll donate money to send you to a studio so you can record all of this properly.

anyone else wanna contribute to the 'send erland to the studio' fund?

You're a machine! Not like a flobie or some other useless device that is out style in a week. :D You're probably like, "What's a flobie?" It's another dumb American product! :) It's for hair care. Oh wait, that is from another thread.:D

What I mean is you crank out one quality tune after another. Quality and efficiency! ;) :D

Hey Erland, good one. Not sure about the "poured on" line, just because of that band that did that "pour some sugar on me" or whatever it was, which is, as you would say, a wee bit cheesy. :)

How long does it take you to write a song? Are you self taught, singing lessons or anything?

well, some people work at it... and some just got it in them... you my man got it in you... that sounds good... as with all the songs I heard from you it's overall performance quality that sets you apart... the recording quality is kind of irrelevant here.. IMHO ... You could probably just hum something and people would responde ... well... maybe not :) ... but still...

Are you still using that boss recorder?

Good to see you are still around here...
 
This tune sounds great. You're a star dude. I like the chorus....it's gets stuck in your head good. I also dig the bridge or whatever it is around 1:54 "But now it's time...." very cool!


Just wondering if the "Just get out" phrase you said before the guitars came in was left there for grins? Or were you kicking someone out the room before you started tracking? :)

Love the little muted picking sections that come in. Bridge is brilliant. Killer vocs, what's the mic/pre combo? Tiny bit of background noise, but I'm really reaching here (and I have the volume up). This is excellent.

PS - Your voice is sounding great, Erland. I love the way it breaks up on the high notes - really cool throaty sound.

Nice verse, beautiful chorus. Great performance, really nice sound. This one's a keeper.

Try to turn it down a bit, though, huh? I mean, the peaks are hitting at about -12 dB. Will the loudness war never end? :D

You got a 'normalize' button somwhere in your system?

Gee I like this song. I'm really partial to people who can the job done with just an instrument and a voice. You ever heard Nick Harper?
