Hi again,

Thanks to chipper for answering my previous question. I have another one, sorry if it seems stupid, but again I don't have the manual.

How do you set up a stereo effects loop on the 488 mkII? What connection goes where and so forth. Any info would help.

Thanks,

nopayne...

By the way I guess I should mention I have a Digitech rack mount effects processor with left and right 1/4" outputs and left and right 1/4" inputs, with the left input labeled (mono).

Thanks again,

nopayne...

Ok at the very top near the left are two holes marked EFFECTS SENDS 1 and 2....run your cord from either one of these to the INPUT hole on your effects processor....at the top of yer 488 near the right, run another cord from either #10 or #9 (mono) to the OUTPUT on yer effects processor....this will allow you to hear the effects as you're recording...to actually record the effects you must assign the group (1/2 or 3/4 you want the effect to record onto...you control the amount of effects signal by the effects knob right above the "pan" knobs on the tape player, and there is also two effects sends master knobs that can be used for all tracks at once if you like.....gibs

gibs, you missed something...
He wants to use stereo effects, so he should run the AUX 1 output to the left or right input of the processor (one might actually say something like left/mono), and then the 2 outputs of the processor to the stereo ins on either channel 9 or 10.

This way you get an effects send that's mono and a return that's stereo. (which is a pretty normal way of doing it, no?)

Have fun!
D.

Sorry nopayne, I thought when I mentioned the #9 mono, you'd figure it out anyway..fortunately, though, Dex made it clearer, which is cool......gibs
