Hi!
I felt that I HAD to participate in this forum because there is a problem that I can NOT solve.
First of all, here is what I record with:
-lenovo r61 laptop
-MXL990 condensor mic
-M-Audio Audio Buddy pre-amp
-Cool Edit Pro 2.1 recording software
My problem is that when I record, the sound if muffled. Moreover, it sounds even more muffled (WORSE) when I record at 44100 hz than 22050 hz. Everyone that I have talked with has told me that it is strange for a lower hz to give me a better sound quality.
I don't know if my problem is my soundcard, the recording settings on my computer, or the mic/pre-amp that I use altogether that is preventing me from getting a better quality.
I mean, I have seen people on youtube that use the same mic/pre-amp as me, but they have a MUCH clearer sound.
It would be a great help if anyone could help me/give me advice to solve this problem.
