414 mods

i've been looking for 414 mods all over the place, & i want to do it myself. anyone have a clue as to where i can find parts/schematics? i could either upgrade components or make a tube power supply. i'm just looking for a different sound & i don't use them enough b/c i have lotsa other mics.

414's typically aren't modded as they are revered for what they are. Why don't you sell them and buy something else?

Actually there is a guy who does a tube mod on the 414, but I cant remember his name. Im not sure if its the same guy that does the tube mods on the U87.

Why on earth would you want to mod a 414? They're wonderful mics as-is!
