Frankly, you'd be a lot better off just getting a regular soundcard and either a good mixer and/or some decent outboard mic pres.

But out of the ones you list, my guess would be the M-audio would probably have the least-offensive mic pre. I've heard they're the same (or similar at least) to the dmp3.

None. I would also guess the Delta pres. I would recommend saving a few dollars more and getting a Lynx Studio card and some better pres than what's included on any of these soundcards. ( www.lynxstudio.com ). You'll thank me later.;)

I would say the Aardvark. (Though I work with the Q10.) My friend has an omni studio and I've tried the Mona. The Omni Studio doesn't sound quite like a DMP3. And maybe I just had bad luck, but my old omni studio had the right channel go bad on me. They're okay, though I feel the Aardvark sounds significantly better. Cleaner gain.

I've heard a lot of naysayers on the egosys pres. Both sound quality and unstable phantom.

the m-audio is great peice of gear...i have two...but it dosent have any pre's all...which bumps the price WAY up if you wanna grab something like dmp3s with it for all the channels. if the moneys not too big of an issue...everyone on the boards seems like m-audio and i've been VERY satisified with mine.

In that case, I think you'd be comparing apples to apples, and there wouldn't be a significant difference whichever option you went with.

I already have my studio,Im trying to find out what people think about these products, because people I record for, want theyre own studio, and they pick the equipment that they like, and ask me to find out which is better, and since Ive never worked with these lower priced items, or at least some of them, I ask everyone here.

Then why don't you ask your . . . uh . . . "friend" to come here and ask himself? :D
