Hi, so on track one of one of 5 songs I've recorded, there is a noticeable amount of hum/noise in the background, which is strange because I recorded at a high enough level. Anyways, I'd like to get rid of some of it by using a noise gate during mixdown. Whats the best way to go about this, should I just send it through the auxilary out/in and only use it on that one track or is there some patching in the back of channel 1 that I can use to get similar or better results? If someone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

If it's on just the one track use the Access Send/Recieve Jacks to patch a Noise Gate into the appropriate channel.

:)

Alternatively, try re-recording the offending track and see if the problem repeats itself. If it does there's either a fault with the 388 itself or with your technique. Maybe you're picking up RF or EM hum (which is around 50 kHz in the USA, Ibelieve) and you need to improve your system's isolation form such electronic nasties.
